Progeny [Children] Of Adam You Should Know
Sayings of al-Hasan al-Basree, Leader of the Taba’een
* Son of Adam! You are nothing but a number of days, whenever each day passes then part of you has gone
* Death has shown the reality of this worldly life. It did not leave any happiness for those who are wise
* A believer believes in what ALLAH has said. He is the best of men in his deeds, but he fears ALLAH most, so that if he spends the size of a mountain of money, he would not be sure of his reward until he sees this with his own eyes. The more righteous and charitable the believer is, the more afraid of ALLAH he becomes. While the hypocrite says: Men are too many, I shall be forgiven. There is no harm on me. Thus he acts badly but wishes for many things from ALLAH.
The moral excellence of the Taba’een [Followers of The Companions of The Prophet of Islam], is mentioned in the following Hadith:
[Narrated Imran bin Husain: “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘The best of my followers are those living in my generation (i.e. my contemporaries). and then those who will follow the latter” ‘Imran added, “I do not remember whether he mentioned two or three generations after his generation, then the Prophet added, ‘There will come after you, people who will bear witness without being asked to do so, and will be treacherous and untrustworthy, and they will vow and never fulfill their vows, and fatness will appear among them.” (Bukhari, Book #57, Hadith #2)]

Don’t Loose Heart Or Grieve
[ALLAH’S Quran – 3:139] “And do not lose heart nor feel grieved, and it is you who will be victorious, provided you maintain (perfect) faith.”
The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has said : [Bukhari, Book #57, Hadith #4] “……..I used to keep for Allah’s Apostle a leather water container, the mouth of which was covered with a piece of cloth. I poured water on the milk container till its lower part was cold. Then I took the milk to the Prophet whom I found awake. I said to him, ‘Drink, O Allah’s Apostle.’ So he drank till I became pleased. Then I said, ‘It is time for us to move, O Allah’s Apostle!’ He said, ‘Yes.’ So we set out while the people (i.e. Quraish pagans) were searching for us, but none found us except Suraiqa bin Malik bin Jushum who was riding his horse. I said, ‘These are our pursuers who have found us. O Allah’s Apostle!’ He said, ‘Do not grieve, for Allah is with us”

The Prophet’s Night Journey – al-Israa and al-Mi’raaj
Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) Who took His slave (Muhammad) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to al-Masjid al-Aqsa (the farthest mosque, in Jerusalem), whose surroundings We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad) of Our signs. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. Quran(17:1)
The (Prophet’s) heart lied not (in seeing) what he saw. Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad) about what he saw [during the Mi’raj: (Ascent of the Prophet over the seven heavens)]. And indeed he (Muhammad) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time). Near Sidrat-ul-Muntaha [Lote-tree of the utmost boundary (beyond which none can pass)], Near it is the Paradise of Abode. When that covered the Lote-tree which did cover it! The sight (of Prophet Muhammad) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it). Indeed he (Muhammad) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah). Mushabihat Ki Mumaniat
Marvels And Excellence Of Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani [Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anhu]
On the 18th of Zul Hijjah, the 35th year of the Hijrah, the companion of our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam), Sayyiduna Usman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) was ruthlessly martyred. He was the third Khalifah (caliph) amongst those known as the Khulafah al-Rashideen. His patronymic (Kunyah) is Abu Amr. He is also known as Zun-Nurayn (i.e. Possessor of two Lights) because the Noble Prophet gave two of his honorable daughters’ hands in marriage one after the other to the Honorable Usman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu).
He embraced Islam at the very advent [of Islam]. He is also known as “Sahib al-Hijratayn” (the one who migrated twice) because firstly he migrated to Habshah (Ethiopia) and then to Madinatul Munawwarah.
Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) was an ardent follower of the Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam). He was, in fact, the embodiment of love of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam). Absolute submission to the Sunnah manifests in his words and deeds.
★ One day Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) sat by the entrance of the Masjid and asked for the meat of the limb of a goat and consumed it. He, then, offered Salah without redoing the Wudu and explained that the Noble Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) also consumed the same [whilst] sitting in the same place, and did it in the same way. [Musnad Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal, Vol. 1, Page 137, Hadith 441]
★ Once Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) smiled whilst performing Wudu. The people asked the reason, to which he replied, “Once I saw that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) smiled having performed Wudu at this very place.” [Musnad Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal, Vol. 1, Page 130, Hadith 415]
★ Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrates, “Uthman bought Jannah twice from the Prophet. Firstly, on the day of ‘The Well of Ruma’ and secondly, when the Muslims were in a very poor state.” [Al-Mustadrak li al-Hakim, Vol. 3, Page 107; Tarikh Dimashq al-Kabir, Vol. 41, Page 49; Al-Kamil li Ibn Adi, Vol. 2, Page 464]
★ When the migrants came to the blessed city of Madina Munawwarah, they did not like the taste of the water. A man from the tribe of Bani Ghaffar possessed a well, named Ruma, full of sweet water. He used to sell this water to the people. The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) asked him if he would sell his well for a spring in paradise. The man replied, “O Prophet of Allah! This is my only income.” Hearing this, Syyiduna Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) came and bought the well for thirty-one thousand. He then came to the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) and asked, “Will I be able to get the spring of Paradise as you said, if I would buy the well from him?” The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, “Yes.” Thus, Sayyiduna Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) stated, “I have bought the well of Ruma and given it to the Muslims.” [Al-Mu’jam al-Kabir, Vol. 2, Page 41-42, Hadith 1226; Tarikh Dimashq al-Kabir, Vol. 41, Page 49; Kanz al-Ummal, , Vol. 13, Page 35-36, Hadith 36183]
★ When the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) was preparing for the battle of Tabuk, the Muslims were in need of some financial support. At this moment the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) sought the help of Sayyiduna Uthman Radi Allahu Anhu. Hadrat Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) gave 10,000 Dinars, thereafter the Prophet said, “O Uthman! May Allah forgive your outer and inner mistakes and forgive all that which you commit till the Day of Judgement. Uthman can do whatever he wills.” [Kanz al-Ummal, Vol. 13, Page 38, Hadith 36189]
★ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu anhuma) has stated that Uthman bin Affan’s (Radi Allahu Anhu) absence from the battle of Badr was because the daughter of the Prophet of Allah (Ruqayyah), who was his wife, fell ill. Allah’s Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said to him, “You will receive the same reward and share (of the booty) as anyone of those who participated in the battle of Badr (if you stay with her).” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Page 523; Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Vol. 2, Page 101; Jaami’ Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 395, Hadith 3726]
★ This was the specialty of Sayyiduna Uthman (Radi Allahu Anhu) as whoever does not attend the battle does not get his share of the booty. Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhuma) has said, “The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) allocated for him his share and did not do so for anyone else who was absent.” [Sunan Abi Dawud, Vol. 2, Page 18]
★ Sayyiduna Shurhabil bin Muslim (Radi Allahu Anhu) has reported, “Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) would feed the people with lavish food, and he himself would go home and remain contented with vinegar and olive only.” [Az-Zuhd lil Imam Ahmad, Page 155, Hadith 684]
★ He was known for his modesty, generosity and braveness. The beloved Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said, “Should I not show modesty to one whom even the Angels show modesty.” [Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2402]
★ Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Usman al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) has said, ‘The hand by which I committed Bay’ah (spiritual bond) in the blessed hands of the Most Noble Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam), I have never touched my genital organ with that (i.e. right hand) thereafter.’ [Az-Zuhd lil Imam Ahmad, Page 155, Hadith 685]
★ Sayyiduna Usman al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) has said, “I swear by Allah! I never committed fornication during the pre-Islamic era of ignorance nor have I committed it after embracing Islam.” [Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 1, Page 99]
★ Sayyiduna Hasan al-Basri (Radi Allahu Anhu) has mentioned explaining the extreme modesty of Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Usman al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu), “If he had been in some room with the door properly shut, even then he would not put off his clothes for taking the bath nor would he straighten his back out of modesty.” [Hilyat al-Awliya, Vol. 1, Page 94, Hadith 159]
★ Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Usman al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) would always observe Nafl (supererogatory) Fasts. Having taken rest during the initial part of the night, he would stand vigil (for worship) for the rest of the night. [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Vol. 2, Page 173]
★ Whenever Ameer al-Mu’mineen, Sayyiduna Usman al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) would get up to offer the Salah of Tahajjud at night, he would himself arrange water for performing the Wudu. When it was asked, ‘Why do you bother yourself; let your servant do it for you’, He replied, “No, the night is theirs; it is for their rest.” [Ibn Asakir, Vol. 39, Page 236]
★ Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar (Radi Allahu anhuma) has reported that the beloved Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) prophesized a heretical event and informed Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) that he will be wickedly martyred in that. [Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Page 395, Hadith 3728]
★ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (Radi Allahu Anhu) has stated: When the rebels had laid siege to the sanctified house of Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) even a single drop of water was not allowed to supply his blessed home. Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani would feel restless due to severe thirst. He was observing fast during the day and I went to see him. He looked at me and said, ‘O! Abdullah bin Salam, I beheld the Noble Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) through this skylight. The Most Merciful Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said in a very sympathetic manner, ‘O Uthman! These people have made you restless by thirst blocking the water?’ I respectfully replied, ‘Yes.’ So, the Noble Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) immediately lowered a bucket towards me that was filled with water. I quenched my thirst. I can still feel the soothing effect of that water between both of my breasts and both of my shoulders.
The Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi wa Sallam) then said, ‘O Uthman! If you wish, I’ll help you against these people; or if you like you may come to me and break your fast in my company.’ I respectfully replied, ‘Ya Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alayka wa Sallam); breaking my fast in your graceful court is dearer to me.’ Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam stated that he returned that day and Sayyiduna Uthman was martyred on that same day by the rebels. [Kitab al-Manamat, Vol. 3, Page 74, Hadith 109]
★ Imam Jalal al-Din Suyuti (Alayhir Rahmah) has narrated that Shaykh Ibn Batish (Alayhir Rahmah) deduced that this event (of the sighting of the Noble Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) was not a dream, rather it took place whilst awake. [Al-Hawi lil Fatawi, Vol. 1, Page 151]
★ Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim has stated that on the day when Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) was martyred, I heard with my ears that someone was saying aloud, “Give Uthman Al-Ghani the glad tidings of comfort and fragrance; tell him the delightful news about meeting with Rab (Azza wa Jal). Who is not displeased; also give him the glad tidings of forgiveness and the pleasure of his Rab (Azza wa Jal).”
Shaykh ‘Adi bin Hatim further stated that he looked around, but he did not see anyone. [Ibn Asakir, Vol. 37, Page 355; Shawahid al-Nubuwwah, Page 209]
★ It has been reported that some of the close companions of Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) took his body to Jannat-ul-Baqi’ at night taking advantage of the darkness. They were digging the grave when suddenly a large number of riders entered Jannat-ul-Baqi’. The devotees got frightened. The riders said loudly, ‘Do not fear; we are here to take part in his burial.’ Hearing this, people’s fear abated and Sayyiduna Uthman Al-Ghani (Radi Allahu Anhu) was buried in peace. After returning from the graveyard the Sahaba al-Kiram (Alayhim ar-Ridwan) swore to the people that the riders were in fact, angels. [Shawahid al-Nabuwwah, Page 209]

Hell In Islam: The Worst Destination
Pictures of Their Punishments
(1) The Punishment of the People of Hell Will Vary in Degree
As Hell has various levels, in some of which the torment and horror are greater than in others, the people of Hell will be given different levels of punishment. According to a hadith narrated by Muslim and Ahmad from Samurah, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, concerning the people of Hell: “There are some whom the Fire will take up to their ankles, others up to their knees, others up to their waists, and others up to their collarbones”. According to another report, “up to their necks” (Muslim in Kitaab al-Jannah wa Sifaat Na’imihaa, Baab Shiddat Harr an-Naar, 4/2185)
The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) has told us about those who will receive the lightest punishment in Hell. al-Bukhaari reports from al-Nu’maan ibn Basheer who said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) say, “The person who will have the least punishment among the people of Hell on the Day of Resurrection will be a man under the arch of whose feet will be placed a smoldering ember, and his brains will boil because of it.”
Many aayaat confirm the different levels of punishment that will be given to the people of Hell:
“The hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire..” (4:145)
“..and on the Day that Judgement will be established: “Cast the people of Pharaoh into the severest Penalty!” (40:46)
“Those who reject Allah and hinder from the Path of Allah, for them will We add penalty to penalty, for that they used to spread mischief “. (16:88)
(2) Roasting of the Skin
The Fire of the Almighty will burn the skin of the kuffaar. The skin is the site of sensation, where the pain of burning is felt, and for this reason, Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) will replace the burnt skin with a new one, to be burnt anew, and this will be repeated endlessly: “Those who reject Our Signs, We shall soon cast them into the Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty. For Allah is Exalted in Power, All-Wise” (4:56)
(3) Melting
One of the kinds of torment will be the pouring of al-Hameem over their heads. al-Hameem is ultra-heated water; because of its extreme heat, it will melt their innards and everything inside:
“… then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads. With it will melt or vanish away what is within their bellies, as well as skins”. (22:19-20)
at-Tirmidhi reported from Abu Hurayrah (Radiy Allahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: “al-Hameem will be poured on their heads and will dissolve through until it reaches their sides and all their innards will drop out, until it comes out of his feet, and everything is melted, then he will be restored as he was.” He (at-Tirmidhi) said, “It is a sahih ghareeb hasan hadith”. (at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p.145, Jaami’ al-Usool, 10/540)
(4) Scorching (the face).
The noblest and most dignified part of a person is the face, hence the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) forbade us to strike the face. One of the ways in which Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) will humiliate the people of Hell is by gathering them on their faces, blind, deaf and dumb, on the Day of Resurrection: “..We shall gather them together prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf; their abode will be Hell; every time it shows abatement, We shall increase for them the Fierceness of the Fire”. (17:97)
- Then they will be thrown on their faces in the Fire: “And if any do evil, their faces will be thrown headlong into the Fire; “Do you receive a reward other than that which you have earned by your deeds?” (27:90)
-
The Fire will burn and cover their faces forever, with no barrier between them and it: “If only the unbelievers knew when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and no help can reach them!” (21:39)
- “The Fire will burn their faces and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced” (23:104)
- “Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with fire”. (14:50)
- “Is then one who has to fear the brunt of the penalty on the Day of Judgement his face, ?” (39:24)
Look at this horrific scene that makes one shudder! - “The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire, they will say, “Woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger.” (33:66)
(5) Dragging
Another of the painful torments that the Kuffaar will suffer is being dragged on their faces into Hell: “Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces: “Taste the touch of Hell.” (54:47-48)
Their pain at being dragged will be increased by the fact that they will be tied up in chains and fetters: “…But soon shall they know – when the yokes round their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along, in the boiling fetid fluid, then shall they be burned”. (40:70-72)
Qataadah said, “They will be dragged once in the Fire, and once in al-Hameem.” (Ibn Rajab, at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p.147)
(6) Blackening of the faces.
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) will blacken the faces of the people of Hell in the Hereafter: “On the Day when some faces will be white and some faces will be black; to those whose faces will be black: “Did you reject Faith after accepting it? Taste then the Penalty for rejecting Faith”. (3:106)
This is intense blackness as if the darkness of night had covered their faces “But those who have earned evil will have a reward of like evil, and ignominy will cover their faces. No defender will they have from Allah. Their faces will be covered, as it were, with pieces from the darkness of night. They are Companions of the Fire, they will abide therein [for aye!] (10:27)
(7) The Fire Will Surround the Kuffaar
The people of Hell are the Kuffaar whose sins and disobedience surround them, leaving no hasanah for them. Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) said, in response to the Jews who claimed that the Fire would only touch them for a certain length of time: “Nay, those who seek gain in evil and are girt round by their sins – they are companions of the Fire; therein shall they abide ” (2:81)
No one will be in such a state unless he is a kaafir and a mushrik. Siddeeq Hasan Khan says, “What is referred to here by evil deeds is a certain type of deed, the reasons for which should be overwhelming, with no way out or means of achieving hasanah. Eternity in Hell is for the kuffaar and mushrikeen, so evil and sin in this aayah has to be interpreted as meaning kufr and shirk. Thus the arguments of the Mu’tazilah and Khawaarij are shown to be false by the proven mutawaatir reports that state that the sinners among the monotheists will eventually be brought forth from Hell.”
Sins and evil deeds surround the Kuffaar like a bracelet around the wrist, so their punishment should fit their crimes. Hence the Fire will surround the Kuffaar on all sides, as Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) says: “There will be a bed of Hell and over them coverings ” (7:41)
The “bed” is what comes under them, and the “coverings” are what comes over them. What is meant is that fires will surround them from above and below, as Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) says: “On the Day when the torment shall cover them from above them and from underneath their feet” (29:55)
“They shall have coverings of Fire above them, and coverings of Fire beneath them”. (39:16)
Some of the Salaf interpreted the “Bed” (al-Mihaad) as meaning a mattress and the “cover” (al-Ghawaash) as being a blanket (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, 3/168)
The “surrounding” may be interpreted in another way, which is that Hell will have a wall to surround the kuffaar so that they will never be able to get out or escape from it, as Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) says: “..Verily We have prepared for the wrongdoers a Fire whose like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in; If they implore relief, they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces. How dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!” (18:29)
(8) The Fire Will Leap Up Over Their Hearts
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) says: “By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into that which Breaks to Pieces. And what will explain to you what that which Breaks to Pieces is? the Fire of Allah, kindled, that which mourns to the hearts”. (104:4-6)
Muhammad ibn Ka’b al-Qurtubee said, “The Fire eats into him until it reaches his heart, then his body will be created anew. It was reported that when Thaabit al-Bananee read this aayah, he said, “The Fire will burn them until it reaches their hearts, while they are still alive; this is how great their suffering is!” Then he wept.” (at-Takhweef min an-Naar, p.146)
(9) Their entrails will be spilled out in the Fire
al-Bukhaari and Muslim report from Usaamah ibn Zayd that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: “A man will be brought forth on the Day of Resurrection and thrown into the Fire. Then his entrails will be spilled out into the Fire, and he will be forced to walk around and around like a donkey on a treadmill. The people of Hell will gather around him and say, “O So-and-so, what is wrong with you? Did you not enjoin us to do good and forbid us to do evil?” He will say, “I used to order you to do good, but I did not do it, and I used to forbid you to do evil, but I used to do it.” Then he will walk around and around like a donkey in a treadmill” (al-Bukhaari and Muslim, Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 2/642, hadith no. 5139)
One of the people whose entrails will be spilled out in Hell is ‘Amr ibn Lahay who was the first to change the religion of the Arabs. Muslim reports from Jaabir ibn Abdullaah that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “I saw ‘Amr ibn ‘Aamir al-Khuza’ee dragging his own entrails in Hell, and he was the first one to introduce as-Saa’ibah (a she-camel turned loose for free pasture for the sake of idols, upon which nothing was allowed to be carried”. (Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 2/642)
(10) The Chains, Fetters and Hammers of the People of Hell
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) has promised that the people of Hell will have chains fetters and hammers in the Fire:
“For the Rejecters We have prepared iron chains, yokes, and a blazing Fire”. (76:4)
“With Us are fetters and a Fire and a food that chokes, and a penalty grievous”. (73:12-13)
The yokes will be placed around their necks: “…We shall put yokes on the necks of the unbelievers. It would only be a requital for their ill deeds”. (34:33)
“When yokes round their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along.” (40:71)
The chains or fetters are something with which Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) will punish them: “With Us are fetters…” (73:12)
The chains are another kind of punishment, with which the wrongdoers will be tied up, just as criminals are chained up in this world. See how the Qur’aan describes them: “The stern command will say, “Seize him and bind him, and burn him in the blazing Fire, further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits”. (69:30-32)
Allah (Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala) has promised the people of Hell hooked rods of iron which are like hammers with which the evildoers will be beaten when they try to escape from the Fire, and they will be thrown ever deeper into Hell: “And for them are hooked rods of iron. Every time they seek to get away therefrom, from anguish, they will be driven back therein and said to them: “taste the torment of burning!” (22:21-22)
