Shaytan Spends the Night in Your Nose
‘Shaytan’ Spends the Night in Your Nose! {Know Your Enemy} Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:- ‘When anyone of you wakes up, he Must rinse his nose Three (3) times. Verily, Shaytaan spends the night inside a person’s nostrils’. {Source: Collected by Bukhari # 3121 & Sahih Muslim # 23}
Benefits for this subject…
#1. Blowing the nose is an obligation with the ‘Hanbali’ school of thought and a ‘Sunnah’ with the majority of scholars.
#2. This ‘Hadeeth’ shows that ‘Shaytan’ can’t open what is closed or locked. Furthermore, it has been reported that when a person yawns he should cover his mouth, so ‘Shaytan’ can not enter. [Source Subulus Salaam] ” This Hadith proves that ‘Shaytan’ has the ability to do things, and we don’t have the ability to perceive it. ‘Shaytan’ spends the night in our nose, and we don’t know how. We can’t make out how anyone could shape their body for the size of a nostril. However, if it was something that crawled the size of an atom, we could see how. Nonetheless, the world of the ‘Shayaateen’ and ‘Jinn’ is hidden from us. And likewise, the world of the Angels is hidden from us.
There is an Angel on our right and left side that are the companions to us, But do we feel them?
We don’t feel them, but we believe this to be a fact.
The ‘Hadeeth’ proves that ALLAH has given ‘Shaytan’ the ability to overpower us.
‘Subhan Allah’ Allah’s Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] informed us about this act of ‘Shaytan’ so we could be aware of his evil and realize our need for ALLAH. [Explanation of Sahih Muslim for Hadeeth # 24] Muhammad Abdur Rauf Al-Manaawee (R)said ”Shaytan also chooses the nose because
#1. The Eyes are for looking and pondering over the creations in the heavens and earth.
#2. The Mouth is for remembering Allah.
#3. The Ears are for listening to knowledge and Allah’s remembrances. However, the Nose does not have any of these traits. Therefore, this is an entrance for ‘Shaytan’ into man’s body to whisper to him. [Source: Faydul Qadeer # 436]

Lailatul Qadr
[65. Surah At-Talaq: Ayah 2-3] And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint a way out for him. And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, Allah will be sufficient for him.
Surely We revealed it on the grand night. And what will make you comprehend what the grand night is? The grand night is better than a thousand months. The angels and Gabriel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair, Peace! It is till the break of the morning.
Lailatul Qadr in the Last Seven Nights of Ramazan
[Sahih Bukhari : Volume 3, Book 32 “Taraweeh”, Number 232] Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (Radi Allah Anhu): Some men amongst the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, “It seems that all your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to search for it should search in the last seven nights of Ramadan.”
[Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 32 “Taraweeh”, Number 233] Narrated Abu Salama (Radi Allah Anhu): I asked Abu Sa’id (Radi Allah Anhu) about the Night of Qadr, and he said, “We practiced Itikaf in the middle third month of Ramadan with Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam). In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) came to and addressed us and said, “I was informed of the date of the Night of Qadr, but I was caused to forget it, or I forget, so search it in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan.”
Search Lailatul Qadr in the Odd Nights of Last Ten Nights of Ramadan
[Sahih Bukhari : Volume 3, Book 32 “Taraweeh”, Number 238] Narrated ‘Ibn Abbas (Radi Allah Anha): The Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said: “Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of the Ramadan.”
[Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 32 “Taraweeh”, Number 239] Narrated ‘Ibn Abbas (Radi Allah Anha) in this quotation: Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said: “The Night of Qadr is in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan either on the first nine or in the last (remaining) seven nights of Ramadan.”
[Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 32 “Taraweeh”, Number 241] Narrated ‘Aisha (Radi Allah Anhu): With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) used to tighten his waist-belt (i.e. hard work) and used to offer Salat (Prayer) all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the Salat (prayers).
[Sahih Muslim: Book 6 “Kitab Al-Sawm”, Number 2632] ‘A’isha (Radi Allah Anhu) Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) as saying: “Look for (and in the words of Waki, seek) Lailat-ul-Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan.”
[Sahih Muslim: Book 6 “Kitab Al-Sawm”, Number 2633] Zirr b. Habaish (Radi Allah Anhu) reported Ubayy b. Ka’b (Radi Allah Anhu) took oath (without making any exception, i.e. without saying In Sha Allah) that it was the twenty-seventh night. I said to him: Abu Mundhir, on what ground do you say that? Thereupon he said: By the indication or by the sign which the Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) gave us, and that is that on that day (the sun) would rise without having any ray in it.
[Sahih Muslim: Book 6 “Kitab Al-Sawm”, Number 2634] Zirr b. Hubaish (Radi Allah Anhu) reported that Ubayy b. Ka’b (Radi Allah Anhu) said about Lailat-ul-Qadr: By Allah, I know well about it. Shu’ba said: To the best of my knowledge, it was the twenty-seventh night for which the Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) commanded us to stand for prayer. Shu’ba doubted these words: That it was the night for which the Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) commanded us to stand for prayer. And (he further) said: This was narrated to me by a friend of mine from him (the Holy Prophet).
[Sahih Muslim: Book 6 “Kitab Al-Sawm”, Number 2635] Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu) reported: We were talking about Lailat-ul-Qadr in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) and he said: “He who amongst you remembers (the night) when the moon arose, and it was like a piece of plate (at the fag end of the month in a state of waning).”
My Lord! Grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones.

Ramadan Gems In Attaining Allah’s Pleasure And Becoming Sinless
Our beloved Ramadan is about to leave us. To fully utilize the month of Ramadan and leave Ramadan sinless, the following 7 deeds can be performed to obtain Allah’s pleasure fully. When performing this, your intention must be clear and pure and for the sake of Allah alone. We can only attain perfection by being true slaves of Allah. The more our servitude increases, the more perfect we become and the higher we rise in status and attain Allah’s pleasure.
DEED 1: Wudu Followed By Two Rakat Salah
Make Wudhu (ablution) as perfectly as possible and offer 2 rakat Salah with Khushoo, without being distracted. Try your best to be least distracted and offer Salah like you are seeing Allah, and if you cannot do that at least try to offer Salah like Allah is watching your every move. With every Allah hu Akbar and every Ruku and Sujood humble your heart and soul before Allah.
Narrated Humran: (the slave of Uthman) I saw Uthman bin Affan asking for a tumbler of water (and when it was brought) he poured water over his hands and washed them thrice and then put his right hand in the water container and rinsed his mouth, washed his nose by putting water in it and then blowing it out. Then he washed his face and forearms up to the elbows thrice, passed his wet hands over his head, and washed his feet up to the ankles thrice. Then he said, “Allah’sMessenger (ﷺ) said ‘If anyone performs ablution like that of mine and offers a two-rakyat prayer during which he does not think of anything else (not related to the present prayer) then his past sins will be forgiven.’ [Sahih Bukhari]

DEED 2: Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi -100 Times
This simple dhikr of 3–5 minutes will erase mountains of bad deeds. Reflect on what dhikr you are making and let the meaning of the dhikr sink in and change your life. Do not make it a robotic dhikr where your tongue is at work, but your heart is lost. Always remember, whenever you remember Allah, ALLAH REMEMBERS YOU! Subhan Allah!
What greater honor is there than Allah, the Creator, the Sustainer, and Lord of the Universe remembering us? The door of Allah is always open for us: Remember Me and I will remember you. We need to find our way to and through that door.
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA) : Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)said, “Whoever says, ‘Subhan Allahi wabihamdihi,’ one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea. [Bukhari]

DEED 3: Saying Astaghfirullah This Way
Are your sins worse than leaving Jihad? Making this dhikr only one time will ensure you gain mountains of good deeds.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who says: ‘Astaghfir ullah-alladhi lailaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilaihi (I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance),’ his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield (while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah).”

DEED 4: Dua After Eating
Reciting this small and beautiful dua after eating a meal will forgive your past sins. Just a little act of praising Allah for providing us with food.
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who has taken food and says at the end: Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi at ‘amani hadha, warazaqanihi min ghairi haulin minni wa la quwwatin (All praise is due to Allah who has given me food to eat and provided it without any endeavor on my part or any power) all his past sins will be forgiven.” [At-Tirmidhi]

DEED 5: Habit Of Reciting This After Every Wudu
Every single one of us wants paradise. Imagine 8 gates of paradise being opened for you 5 times a day!
Narrated ‘Umar (RA): Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “If one after performing ablution completely recites the following supplication: (Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill-Allahu wahdahu lasharika lahu, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasuluhu) ‘I testify that there is no one worthy of worship but Allah, He is Alone and has no partner and Muhammad (ﷺ) is his slave and Messenger’, all the eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through any gate he wishes”. [Bulugh al-Maram]

DEED 6: Recite This Dhikr 4 Times
Reciting this dhikr one time equals doing ibadah for 6 continuous hours. And if you recite this 4 times, it will be as if you have been continuously praying 24 hours a day!
Imagine the reward of praying 24 hours a day –subhan Allah
Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her) reported, the Mother of the Believers: The Prophet (SAW) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy performing the dawn prayer. He came back to the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (SAW) said, “Are you still in the same position as I left you.” I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon, the Prophet said, “I recited four words three times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahiwa bihamdihi, ‘adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah ‘arshihi, wa midadakalimatihi [Allah is free from imperfection and I begin with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, in accordance with His Good Pleasure, equal to the weight of His Throne and equal to the ink that may be used in recording the words (for His Praise)].” [Muslim]

DEED 7: Surah Iklhas3 Times
Nearly every single Muslim knows this, but how many of us truly put this into practice or benefit from it?
Qul huwa Allahu ahad
Allahu assamad
Lam yalid walam yoolad
Walam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad
Say, “He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.” {Surah Al Ikhlaas 112}
Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported about Surat Al-Ikhlas (Chapter 112): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, it is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’an.” According to another version, he (ﷺ) said to his Companions, “Is anyone of you incapable of reciting one-third of the Qur’an in one night?” They considered it burdensome and said: “O Messenger of Allah, which of us can afford to do that?” He (ﷺ) said, “Surat Al-Ikhlas [Say: He is Allah (the) One]is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’an.” [Al- Bukhari]

Islam is beautiful and Islam is easy. Our Rabb is Ar Rahman – Ar Raheem and He azza wa jal has given us so many easy pathways that lead to Jannah. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has encouraged us to follow a middle path without going to either extremes.
This is a very small list of good deeds.

Are You Ready for Last 10 Days of Ramadan
Allah says in the Qur’an: “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn”. [Quran: 97:3-5]
The blessed Laylatul Qadr can be found in any of the last 10 nights of Ramadan, the most blessed nights of the year. As such, we should increase our worship and devotion during this period.
Aisha reported: With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet tightened his waist belt (i.e., worked harder), prayed the whole night, and kept his family awake for the prayers. [Bukhari]
Abu Hurayrah relates that the Prophet said: “Whoever stands (in the voluntary night prayer of) Ramadan out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the night of Lailat Al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” [Sunan an-Nasa’i]
Such immense rewards are to be gained during these blessed 10 nights. How can we afford to miss out on them? Who is to say that we will live to see the next Ramadan? We must make the best of these 10 nights. If we cannot manage all the 10 nights, then as many as we can manage, particularly on the odd-numbered nights: 21st, 25th, 27th, and 29th.
There is a saying that a person who fails to plan plans to fail. There are a few points to consider:
– Remain in I’tikaf: The best way of catching the blessed night is to remain in I’tikaf, which both men and women can do. If it is not possible for one to remain in I’tikaf for the whole of the 10 days and nights, then one should try to remain in I’tikaf for as many days and nights as possible.
– Worship all 10 nights: Try to worship the whole of the 10 nights or as many days you can manage, as that is the best way to catch the unimaginable and incomprehensible rewards of Laylatul Qadr. Every good deed from Maghrib until Fajr on Laylatul Qadr is rewarded with a minimum of at least 83 years’ of worship. Subhan Allah, that is longer than most of us will live!’
– Best dua of the last 10 nights: اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ ، تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
Aisha reported: I asked: “O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?” He replied, “You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).” [At-Tirmidhi].
– Give charity: Any good act such as charity during Laylatul Qadr is rewarded like you have done it for over 83 years.
– Eat light: As you will be staying up until Fajr, the more you eat, the harder it will be for you to stay up and the less productive you will be!
– Hydrate well: Keep some water with you at all times. This will help you stay up, feel energized and refreshed, and have a clearer mind.
– Complete all tasks beforehand: Make arrangements to clear as many of your pending tasks as possible, or make a plan for tackling them later. This way, we are free to worship during the 10 nights without being distracted by worldly tasks.
– Show exemplary character: The Prophet said: “Nothing will be heavier on the Day of Resurrection in the Scale of the believer than good manners. Allah hates one who utters foul or coarse language.” [At- Tirmidhi]. So we must aim to be the best in character during these blessed nights and continue to do so for the rest of the year. We must not argue, swear, backbite, slander, or gossip.
– No time-wasting: We must make a firm intention that during these blessed 10 nights, we will not take part in idle talk, watch TV, play computer games, or spend time on social media. There are 355 days in the year for all that – if you really cannot resist. This is just 10 nights! There will be indeed an utter loss and regret for those of us who waste these blessed 10 nights.
– Making life changes: We should make the necessary changes to improve ourselves as Muslims and what better time to make such changes than during these blessed 10 nights when we can change our lives forever. We must internalize these changes and make a firm commitment to Allah, and maybe he will wipe off our sins until we become newborn babies, In Sha Allah

Equality Of Man And Woman
All Praises are due to Almighty Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala, Peace and Blessings be upon the most perfect of creations, His Beloved Habeeb, Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam his noble Family, and the illustrious Sahaba Riwanullahi Ta’ala Alaihim Ajma’een and all the pious servants of Almighty Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala.
The religion of Islam gave women an honorable status and true dignity. Before the advent of Islam, women had no rights of any kind, or an independent identity in any form. The great importance of the Muslim woman’s role – whether as wife, sister, or daughter, and the rights that are due to her and the rights that are due from her – have been explained in the Glorious Quran and further details of this have been described in the purified Sunnah.
With the advent of Islam came the verse from the Qur’an condemning those who practiced female infanticide:
“And when one among of them receives the glad tidings of a daughter, his face turns black for the day, and he remains seething. Hiding from the people because of the evil of the tidings; “Will he keep her with disgrace, or bury her beneath the earth?”; pay heed! Very evil is the judgment they impose!” [Surah an-Nahl : 58/59]
The Holy Qur’an makes no distinction between man and woman regarding fundamental human rights. Here we may specifically state that a woman, like a man, is the possessor of free personality, and enjoys equality with man, with respect of:
Her spiritual and moral status:
The Qur’an says: “… Unto men the benefit of what they earn (of virtue) and unto women the benefit of what they earn (of virtue)” [Surah al-Nisa: 32]
i.e. in matters of spiritual grace both, man and woman, enjoy equal status and are independent of one another. A woman’s responsibility in faith is exactly the same as that of a man. Women are to pray, fast, give charity, perform the pilgrimage, and perform other forms of Ibadah. A woman is rewarded for this, just like a man. A woman must believe in the Oneness of Almighty Allah, the Books of Almighty Allah, the Angels of Almighty Allah, the Prophets of Almighty, the Day of Resurrection, the Day of Judgment and Heaven and Hell, and Predestination.
Her economic rights:
The Qur’an says: “Unto the men (of a family) belongs a share of that which parents and near kindred leave, and unto the women a share of that which the parents and near kindred leave, whether it be little or much – a legal share.” [Surah al-Nisa: 7]
Her legal rights:
The Qur’an says: “… And they (women) have rights similar to those (of men) over them, according to what is equitable…” [Surah al-Baqarah: 228]
Islam ensured a dignified life for the fair sex, which was hitherto treated in an unfair manner. Women became the mistress of the household. The man was not allowed to beat or manhandle them nor deprive them of their share in the property. The Holy Qur’an declared: “A mother should not be made to suffer because of her child, nor he to whom the child is born (be made to suffer) because of his child (because both are equal before the law)…” [Surah al-Baqarah : 233]
Her right to gain the Knowledge:
Islam has made it a duty of every Muslim male and female to gain knowledge, which is considered to be a superior act of worship in Islam. In Islam, therefore, both men and women are credited with the capacity for learning, understanding, and teaching. Knowledge is not only limited to religious knowledge but includes all forms of knowledge. Acquiring knowledge will enable Muslim women and men to get better perception and understanding of the world around them and make them more conscious of Almighty Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala.
Conclusion:
The status of Muslim women as defined in Islam is very important because women make up half of society, and they are responsible for nurturing, guidance and reformation of the subsequent generations of men and women. It is the female who imbues principles and faith into the souls of the nation. Indeed, the Muslim woman is the initial teacher in building a righteous society. Islam brought a new lease of life to women. Islam elevated the status of women to great heights, so high that she stood shoulder to shoulder with men. In the Islamic family, the role of men and women is complementary rather than competitive. Their duties are described as equal in importance but not identical in substance.
Now, the issue of feminism in Islam is meaningless. The coming of Islam has brightened the life and future of women, in which Islam has lifted their level. Islam upholds women to the highest and most respected position.
I hope my effort will be appreciated and my sisters in faith will surely remember me in their prayers for peace and prosperity, health and happiness and Allah’s SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala Mercy and Favor. May Almighty Allah SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala, through the Waseela of Sayyiduna Rasoolullah SallAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam accept this humble effort; and may He SubHanuhu wa Ta’ala give us the Toufeeq and Hidayah to restore the true rights to our Muslim women as dictated by Islam. Aameen!!
