Punishment For Killing A Muslim
Narrated Said bin Jubair: ‘Abdur Rahman bin Abza said, “Ask Ibn ‘Abbas about these two Qur’anic Verses:’Nor kill such life as Allah has made sacred, Except for just cause.'(25.168); And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell.'(4.93)
So I asked Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “When the Verse that is in Sura-al-Furqan was revealed, the pagans of Mecca said, ‘But we have slain such life as Allah has made sacred, and we have invoked other gods along with Allah, and we have also committed fornication.’ So Allah revealed: ‘Except those who repent, believe, and do good.'(25.70)
So this Verse was concerned with those people. As for the Verse in Surat-an-Nisa (4-93), it means that if a man, after understanding Islam and its laws and obligations, murders somebody, then his punishment is to dwell in the (Hell) Fire forever.” Then I mentioned this to Mujahid who said, “Except the one who regrets (one’s crime).”

Allah’s Description Of His Pious Servants – Muttaqin
[Quran 3:16 – TMQ – Farrooq Malik] [TMQ stands for Translation of The Meanings of ALLAH’S Quran]
[Quran 3:17 – TMQ – Vickar Ahamed]
[The righteous people are those who pray: “Our Lord! We sincerely believe in You: please forgive our sins and save us from the agony of the hellfire;” Those who show patience, firmness, and self-control; Who are true (in word and deed); Who pray with sincerity (and obedience); Who spend (in the way of Allah): And who pray for forgiveness in the early hours of the morning.]
[Tafsir – Ibn Kathir] Allah describes the Muttaqin, His pious servants, whom He promised tremendous rewards, (Those who say: “Our Lord! We have indeed believed”) in You, Your Book, and Your Messenger. (so forgive us our sins) because of our faith in You and in what You legislated for us. Therefore, forgive us our errors and shortcomings, with Your bounty and mercy, (and save us from the punishment of the Fire.)
Allah then said, (They are) those who are patient) while performing acts of obedience and abandoning the prohibitions. (those who are true) concerning their proclamation of faith, by performing difficult deeds. (and obedient) meaning, they submit and obey Allah, (those who spend) from their wealth on all the acts of obedience they were commanded, being kind to kith and kin, helping the needy, and comforting the destitute. (and those who pray and beg Allah’s pardon in the last hours of the night) and this testifies to the virtue of seeking Allah’s forgiveness in the latter part of the night. It was reported that when Ya`qub said to his children, (I will ask my Lord for forgiveness for you) )12:98( he waited until the latter part of the night to say his supplication.
Furthermore, the Two Sahihs, the Musnad and Sunan collections recorded through several Companions that the Messenger of Allah said, (Every night, when the last third of it remains, our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, descends to the lowest heaven saying, “Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to his invocation Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him”)
The Two Sahihs recorded that A’ishah said, “The Messenger of Allah performed Witr during the first part, the middle and latter parts of the night. Then, later (in his life), he would perform it (only) during the latter part.” Abdullah bin Umar used to pray during the night and would ask, “O Nafi’! Is it the latter part of the night yet” and if Nafi said, “Yes,” Ibn Umar would start supplicating to Allah and seeking His forgiveness until dawn. This Hadith was collected by Ibn Abi Hatim.
[Tafsir – Yusuf Ali] Sabr (Sabirin) includes many shades of meaning: I have specified three here, viz., patience, firmness, and self-control. See 2:45 and 2:153 and notes thereon. True servants of God are described in 3:16 and 17. They have faith, humility, and hope (3:16); and they have certain virtues (3:17) viz., (1) patience, steadfastness, self-restraint, and all that goes under the full definition of Sabr: this shows a certain attitude of mind; (2) in all their dealings they are true and sincere as they are also in their promises and words; this marks them out in social conduct; (3) further, their spiritual worship is earnest and deep, an inner counterpart of their outward conduct; (4) their worship of God shows itself in their love of their fellow-men, for they are ready and liberal in charity; and (5) their self-discipline is so great that the first thing they do every morning is humble to approach their God.
[Tafsir – Asad] The expression bi’l-ashar is usually taken to mean “at the times before daybreak”, or simply “before daybreak”. This is in agreement with the Prophet’s recommendation to his followers (forthcoming from several authentic Traditions) to devote the latter part of the night, and particularly the time shortly before dawn, to intensive prayer. But while the word sahar (also spelled sahr and suhr), of which ashar is the plural, undoubtedly denotes “the time before daybreak”, it also signifies – in the spellings sahar and suhr – “the core of the heart”, “the inner part of the heart”, or simply “heart” (cf. Lisan al-‘Arab; also Lane IV, 1316). It seems to me that in the context of the above Qur’an-verse – as well as of 51:18 – this latter rendering is preferable to the conventional one: for, although the value of praying before daybreak has undoubtedly been stressed by the Prophet, it is not very plausible that the Qur’an should have tied the prayer for forgiveness to a particular time of day.

Prophet’s Mission
ALLAH, THE EXALTED, HAS INFORMED Mankind Thus:
Allah’s Quran “He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the Divine guidance and the Religion of truth that He may make it prevail over all religions. God suffices for a witness (for the truth of His promise and the mission of His Messenger).” [48:28]
“He it is who has sent forth His Apostle with the [task of spreading] guidance and the religion of truth, to the end that He may cause it to prevail over all [false] religion -however hateful this may be to those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God.” [9:33]
“Alif. Lam. Ra. This is a Book which We have sent down unto thee, that thou mayest bring the mankind forth from the darknesses unto the light, by the command of their Lord: unto the path of the Mighty, the Praiseworthy.” [14:1]
“We sent them˺ with clear proofs and divine Books. And We have sent down to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Reminder, so that you may explain to people what has been revealed for them, and perhaps they will reflect.” [16:44]
“Recite (and teach) that which has been revealed to you from the Book of your Lord, There is none who can change His words (whatever the unbelievers may say or desire), and you will never find, apart from Him, any refuge.” [18:27]
“O Messenger! Convey everything revealed to you from your Lord. If you do not, then you have not delivered His message. Allah will certainly protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the people who disbelieve.” [5:67]
“And leave those who take this faith of Islam as mere play and amusement and are deluded by heir worldly life. Yet remind them by this Quran, so no one should be ruined for their misdeeds. They will have no protector or intercessor other than Allah. Even if they were to offer every possible ransom, none will be accepted from them. Those are the ones who will be ruined for their misdeeds. They will have a boiling drink and painful punishment for their disbelief..” [6:70]
“Therefore, O Prophet, keep up your mission of admonition. By the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.” [52:29]
“No more is the Apostle bound to do than deliver the message [entrusted to him]: and God knows all that you do openly, and all that you would conceal.” [5:99]
“Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say], and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God:” [15:94]
“However, be not grieved by the sayings of those [who deny the truth]: verily, We know all that they keep secret as well as all that they bring into the open.” [36:76]
“If they turn away, then say, “I have warned you all equally. I do not know if what you are threatened with is near or far.” [21:109]
“My mission is only to deliver what I receive from Allah and make His messages known. As for those who disobey Allah and His Messenger, they shall be put in the fire of hell to live therein forever.” [72:23]
“And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)!” [37:3]

Importance Of Humility In Islam
1. Allah’s Question
[1] Why did they not learn humility?
“Before thee We sent (messengers) to many nations, and We afflicted the nations with suffering and adversity, that they might learn humility. When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary, their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.” [6:42-43]
[2] Has the time not come yet?
“Has the time not yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah and for the truth that has descended (through revelation)? They must not be like those to whom the Book was given before, but a long period passed on them (in which they did not repent), therefore their hearts became hard, and (thus) many of them are sinners.” [57:16]
2. The Successful Ones
“Successful indeed are the believers. Who are humble in their prayers” [23:1-2]
Muslims constantly strive to remember and practice Islamic virtues and put them into practice throughout their daily lives. Among these great Islamic virtues are submission to Allah, self-restraint, discipline, sacrifice, patience, brotherhood, generosity, and humility.
In English, the word “humility” comes from the Latin root word which means “ground.” Humility, or being humble, means that one is modest, submissive, and respectful, not proud and arrogant. You lower yourself to the ground, not elevate yourself above others. In prayer, Muslims prostrate themselves to the ground, acknowledging human beings’ lowliness and humility before the Lord of the Worlds.
In general, humility is the quality of being modest and respectful, to all, at all times. Humility, in Islam, is widely considered a virtue. Being humble and having humility is opposite of being arrogant and having arrogance (kibr). Humility leads one to the pleasure of Allah and it causes one to enter into paradise, whereas arrogance leads to the displeasure of Allah and it leads one to the Hellfire. [1]
3. Majesty, Glory, Honor For Allah
[1] “Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour!” [23:116]
[2] “Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty, and Honor.” [55:78]
[3] “You should not be grieved by what they say. All glory is wholly for God: He is the one who hears and knows everything.” [10:65]
[4] “Yea, to those who take for friends unbelievers rather than believers: is it honor they seek among them? Nay,- all honor is with Allah.” [4:139]
[5] “Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of honor and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)!” [37:180]
[6] “That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honor Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day.” [48:9]
