How To Increase Love Of Prophet In Our Hearts?
How can one develop in their heart love of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) more than anything else in the world?
The strength of love for the Messenger (peace be upon him) is connected to the Muslim’s faith. When his faith increases, his love for the Prophet (peace be upon him) increases. Loving the Prophet (peace be upon him) is an act of obedience to Allah and a means of drawing closer to Him. Loving the Prophet (peace be upon him) is one of the obligatory duties in Islam.
It was narrated that Anas said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child, and all the people.” (Al-Bukhari, 15; Muslim, 44)
You can increase your love of the Messenger (peace be upon him) by realizing the following:
Firstly, He was sent by his Lord, who chose him above all of creation to convey the religion of Allah to mankind. Allah chose him because He loved him and was pleased with him. If Allah were not pleased with him, He would not have chosen him. So we must love the one whom Allah loves and be pleased with the one with whom Allah is pleased. We must realize that he is the close friend of Allah and that close friendship is a higher status and it is the highest degree of love.
Jundub is said to have narrated: “I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: ‘I declare before Allah that I have no close friend from among you. Allah has taken me as a close friend, as he took Ibrahim as a close friend. If I were to have taken a close friend from among my ummah, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a close friend.” (Muslim, 532)
Secondly, we should realize the high status to which Allah has raised him, for he (peace be upon him) is the best of mankind.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘I will be the leader of mankind on the Day of Resurrection, the first whose grave will be opened, the first to intercede and the first to be asked to intercede.” (Muslim, 2278)
Thirdly, we should realize that he suffered trials and difficulties to bring Islam to us. We should remember that the Messenger (peace be upon him) was persecuted, hit, slandered, and insulted; the closest people to him disowned him and accused him of being a madman, a liar, and a sorcerer. He fought the people to protect the religion so that it could reach us; they fought him, expelled him from his people and homeland, and gathered armies against him.
Fourthly, we should follow the example of his companions who loved him deeply. They loved him more than wealth and sons, and more than their selves.
There follow some examples of that: It was narrated that Anas said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when the barber was cutting his hair and his companions were going around him wanting to ensure that his hair would fall only into someone’s hand. (Muslim, 2325)
It was narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “On the Day of Uhud, some of the people fled and left the Prophet (peace be upon him), but Abu Talhah stood before him covering him with a shield. Abu Talhah was a powerful archer who broke two or three bows that day. When a man passed by carrying a quiver containing arrows, he would say: Give them to Abu Talhah.
Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) raised his head to look at the people, Abu Talhah would say: “O Prophet of Allah, may my father and my mother be sacrificed for you, do not raise your head lest you be struck by an arrow shot by the enemy. My neck is before your neck.” (Bukhari, 3600; Muslim, 1811)
Fifthly, you should follow his Sunnah in word and deed, so that his Sunnah is the path you follow in your whole life, and you put his words before any other words and put his command before everything else; and you should follow the ‘aqeedah (belief) of his noble Companions, and the aqeedah of the Taabieen who followed them, and the aqeedah of those who followed their path until the present day, namely Ahl Al-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah, and avoid bid’ah (innovation).
We ask Allah to help us to love His Messenger (peace be upon him) and to make him dearer to us than our children, parents, families, and ourselves.

On Remembering Death And Constraining Expectation
Allah Almighty says, “Every self will taste death. You will be paid your wages in full on the Day of Rising. Anyone who is distanced from the Fire and admitted to the Garden has triumphed. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of delusion,” (3:185)
and the Almighty says, “No self knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no self knows in what land it will die.” (W31:33; H31:34)
The Almighty says, “When their specified time arrives, they cannot delay it for a single hour nor can they bring it forward” (16:61)
And the Almighty says, “O you who believe! Do not let your wealth or children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. Whoever does that is lost. Give from what we have provided for you before death comes to one of you, and he says, ‘O Lord, if only you would give me a little more time so that I can give sadaqa and be one of the righteous.’ Allah will not give anyone more time once their time has come. Allah is aware of everything you do.” (63:9-11)
The Almighty says, “Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, ‘My Lord, send me back again. So that perhaps I may act rightly regarding the things I failed to do!’ No indeed! It is just words he utters. Before them, there is an interspace until the day they are raised up. Then, when the Trumpet is blown, that Day there will be no family ties between them, they will not be able to question one another. Those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. Those whose scales are light they are the losers of their selves, remaining in Hell timelessly, forever. The Fire will sear their faces, making them grimace horribly in it, their lips drawn back from their teeth. ‘Were My Signs not recited to you and did you not deny them?'” to His words, “‘How many years did you tarry on the earth?’ They will say, ‘We tarried for a day or part of a day. Ask those able to count!’ He will say, ‘You only tarried for a little while, if you did but know! Did you suppose that We created you for amusement and that you would not return to Us?'” (W23:100-116; H23:99-115)
The Almighty says, “Has the time not arrived for the hearts of those who believe to yield to the remembrance of Allah and to the Truth He has sent down, and not to be like those who were given the Book before, for whom the time seemed over long so that their hearts became hard. Many of them are degenerate.” (W57:15; H57:16)
* Ibn Umar said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took me by the shoulder and said, ‘Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler on the road.”
Ibn Umar used to say, “In the evening, do not anticipate the morning, and in the morning do not anticipate the evening. Take from your health for your illness, and from your life for your death.” [al-Bukhari]
* Ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “It is not right for a Muslim man who has anything to bequeath to spend two nights with having a written will in his possession.” [Agreed upon. This is the variant in al-Bukhari]
In a variant of Muslim, “To spend three nights.” Ibn ‘Umar said, “Not a night has passed since I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say that without my having had my will with me.”
* Anas said, “The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, drew some lines and said, ‘This is man and this is the end of his lifespan. That is how he is when this nearest line comes upon him.” [al-Bukhari]
* Ibn Mas’ud said, “The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, drew lines making a square and then drew a line in the middle which extended beyond it. He drew some small lines up to this middle line from the side within the square and said, ‘This is man, and this is the end of his lifespan which encircles him – or by which he is encircled – and this which goes beyond it is his hope and these small lines are things that happen. If this one misses him, that one gets him, and if that one misses him, this one gets him.'” [al-Bukhari]
* Abu Hurayra reported the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Race to good actions as fast as you can. What are you waiting for except delayed poverty, oppressive wealth, debilitating illness, dottering senility, a swift death or the Dajjal? Or are you waiting for an unseen evil, or the Last Hour? The Last Hour will be most bitter and terrible.” [at-Tirmidhi]
* Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Remember frequently the thing that cuts off pleasures,” i.e., death.” [at-Tirmidhi]
* Ubayy ibn Ka’b said, “When a third of the night had passed, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood up and said, ‘O people! Remember Allah! The first blast has come and it will be followed by the second blast. Death has come with all that it involves. Death has come with all that it involves.’ I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I do a lot of prayer on you. How much prayer should I allot for you?’ He said, ‘However much you like.’ I said, ‘A quarter?’ He said, ‘However much you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you.’ I said, ‘A half?’ He said, ‘However much you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you.’ I said, ‘Two-thirds?’ He said, ‘However much you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you.’ I said, ‘I will allot all my prayers for you.’ He said, ‘Then you will be spared from worry and forgiven your wrong action.'” [at-Tirmidhi]

Know All About The Second Islamic Month of Safar
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the All-Compassionate
“May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You”
Praise be to Allah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with Allah from the evil of our souls and our bad deeds.
Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Remember that our deen is Islam, which guides us in every aspect of life. We can only find these guidelines in the Quran and Sunnah (the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad).
Get the truth about the month of Safar and know that there are no Superstitions, bad omens, unfortunate Calamities, or Prohibition of marriage related to this month.
The month of Safar is the second month in the Islamic calendar. Safar literally means the whistling of winds. This name was given because of the weather conditions of that time.
What events took place in the history of the month of Safar?
1: The Beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (saw), Fatima (R.A) married Ali (R.A) in this month.
2: Prophet Muhammad fell sick at the end of this month and died in the same sickness in the next month on the 12th of Rabiul-Awwal.
3: Ghazwa-e- Khaiber (battle) took place in the same month.
4: Battle of Abwaa also took place in the month of Safar.
What is the misconception about Safar?
Unlucky happenings such as Diseases, curses, evils, loss in business, and all the misfortunes are attributed to that month. People try to apply many tricks to protect themselves from all the misfortunes, but this concept is nothing more than a misconception based on the poor knowledge of Islam. No Muslim should fall into these conceptions, which have no foundation in truth.
What did Prophet Muhammad guide us about Safar?
Prophet Muhammad said about Safar;“No adwaa [transmission of infectious disease without the permission of
Allah], no tiyarah [superstitious belief in bird omens], no haamah [refers to a Jaahili Arab tradition described variously as: a worm that infests the grave of a murder victim until he is avenged; an owl; or the bones of a dead person turned into a bird that could fly], and no Safar [the month of Safar was regarded as “unlucky” in the Jaahiliyyah].”
[Translators notes are in square brackets]. (Reported by al-Bukhari, 5757, and Muslim, 2220)
What did the companions of Prophet Muhammad (sahabah) say about this month?
Jaabir (R.A) very clearly mentions the superstitions and the wrong concept of Safar: “I have heard the Prophet saying, the descending of illness and evil superstition befalling in the month of Safar is untrue.” (Muslim)
What Quran say about the month of Safar?
Quran explicitly rejects this concept of bad omen by saying; And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open. [It will be said], “Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant.” (13, 14 sura bani israel)
What comes to you of good is from Allah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allah as Witness. (79 surah nisa)
There are no bad omens, or calamities in any person or any month or any date, or number in Islam. If something wrong happens to someone, it is due to their evil deeds. We have to work on ourselves to remove calamities from our lives.
