Allah (99 Names In Meanings)

1. Allah

The One Who has the Godhood, which is the power to create the entities

2. Ar-Rahman
The One Who has an abundance of mercy for the believers and the blasphemers in this world and exclusively for the believers in the Hereafter.

3. Ar-Rahim
The One Who has an abundance of mercy for the believers.

4. Al-Malik
The One with absolute Dominion, and the One Whose Dominion is clear of imperfection.

5. Al-Quddus
The One Who is pure from any imperfection and clear of children and adversaries.

6. As-Salam
The One Who is clear of every imperfection.

7. Al-Mu’min
The One Who witnessed for Himself that no one is God but Him; and Who witnessed for His believers that they are truthful in their belief that no one is God but Him.

8. Al-Muhaymin
The One Who witnesses the saying and deeds of His creatures.

9. Al-^Aziz
The Defeater Who is not defeated.

10. Al-Jabbar
The One for Whom nothing happens in His dominion except what He willed.

11. Al-Mutakabbir
The One Who is clear of the attributes of the creatures and of resembling them.

12. Al- Khaliq
The One Who brings everything from non-existence to existence.

The Creator Who has the Power to turn the entities from one state to another.

The One Who forms His creatures in different pictures.

The One Who forgives the sins of His slaves time and time again.

The Subduer Who has the perfect Power and is not powerless over anything.

17. Al-Wahhab
The One Who is Generous in giving plenty without any return.

18. Ar-Razzaq
The One Who makes the Sustenance reach His slaves. Sustenance is everything that benefits, whether halal or haram.

19. Al-Fattah
The One Who opens for His slaves the closed worldly and religious matters.

20. Al-^Alim
The Knowledgeable; the One for Whom nothing is hidden from His Knowledge.

21-22. Al-Qabid, Al-Basit
The One Who constricts the sustenance by His Wisdom and expands and widens it with His Generosity and Mercy.

23-24. Al-Khafid, Ar-Rafi
The One Who lowers whomever He willed by His Destruction and raises whomever He willed by His Endowment.

25-26. Al-Mu^izz, Al-Mudhill
The One Who gives esteem to whomever He willed; hence there is no one to degrade him. The One Who degrades whomever He willed; hence there is no one to give him esteem.

Understanding Surah Az-Zariyat

Surah No 51: Az-Zariyat
Number of Ayats: Sixty

Meaning of the name: It takes its name from ayat no 1 meaning the “winds that scatter”.

Summary: This is a Makki surah. In the beginning, the characteristics of the winds are given which are: a) they produce changes in the pressure and temperature of the air which revolutionizes animal and vegetable life, b) they carry seeds and sow them in different places, similarly, they carry the clouds from place to place, c) they fill the sails of ships so that they may reach their destinations, d) they distribute moisture and rain at different places. This is a natural phenomenon that takes place at Allah’s command. Revelation is similar to the wind in many aspects, for it also brings about great changes. In addition, it distributes its blessings wherever it goes, and its effects are far and reaching.

Then the characteristics of good people are mentioned for they are those who sleep little and spend a portion of the night in worship, for they prefer to serve Allah and His beings than the Self. These people pray for forgiveness of all sins committed and those not yet committed. They also pray for whom they care for. These people also give charity to the needy and especially those who are in need yet cannot ask due to various reasons. We must realize that charity in the higher sense includes all help, from the one more able to the one who is not. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) said “Every day two angels come down from heaven and one of them says, ‘O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,” and the other angels say, ‘O Allah! Destroy every miser’

The surah ends on the admonition that every nation that acted as its antecedent will suffer a similar fate. Those who have acquired evil ways will not only get their punishment in the Hereafter but in this life as well.

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Narrated by Abu Musa(Radhiallaho anho):
Allah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The example of a good companion (who sits with you) in comparison with a bad one, is I like that of the musk seller and the blacksmith’s bellows (or furnace); from the first, you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell while the bellows would either burn your clothes or your house, or you get a bad nasty smell thereof.”

Hypocrate

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever has (the following) four characters will be a hypocrite, and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy until he gives it up. These are:
(1)Whenever he talks, he tells a lie;
(2)whenever he makes a promise, he breaks it;
(3)whenever he makes a covenant he proves treacherous;
(4)and whenever he quarrels, he behaves impudently in an evil insulting manner.”

Removing A Branch Or Other Things From The Road

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radhiallaho anho):
Allah’s Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, ” “While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him.”

On the Day of Judgment

Abdullah ibne-Qurt Radiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said:

On the Day of Judgment, the first thing that a slave of Allah will be held accountable for is Salat.

If it is found sound and satisfactory, the rest of his deeds will also be sound and satisfactory, and if found corrupt and rotten, then the rest of his deeds will also be corrupt and rotten.

MashAllah
What Allah wishes
It is often used on occasions where there is a surprise in someone’s good deeds or achievements. For example, people say Mashallah when someone does very well in their exams.

SubhanAllah
Perfect Glory is to God or “Glorified is Allah”

AMEEN-
A supplication (dua) means, “O Allah, respond to (or answer) what we have said”.

ASSALAMU ALAYKUM
“Peace be upon you” the greeting of the Muslim [the reply is “Wa Alaikum salam”

which means “and peace be upon you”.

The fuller version reads “assalam u alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa baakatuhu”

which means “peace be upon you and the blessings and mercy of Allah”

the reply is “wa alaikumus salam wa rahmatulahi wa baakatuhu” ]

ALLAHU AKBAR
The Arabic expression means “Allah is greatest.” Also called the Takbir

An expression used for separating an introductory from the main topics in a speech; the introductory is usually concerned with Allah’s praises and glorification. Literally, it means “whatever comes after”

ASTAGHFIRULLAH
The Arabic expression means “I ask forgiveness of Allah”

AUDHU BILLAHI MIN ASH SHAYTAN AR RAJIM
The Arabic expression means “I seek protection in Allah from the accursed satan”.

This phrase is often recited to ward away evil and before saying bismillah Rahman ar-Raheem before reading the Quran or other activities
