The Best Time For Asking Allah
THE BEST TIME FOR ASKING ALLAH (DUA / SUPPLICATION)
Middle of the night:
The Messenger (Peace and Blessing be upon him) said: “The Gates of Heaven are open at midnight, and a caller calls, is there a supplicant that his supplication may be granted? Is there a petitioner that petition may be granted? Is there a distressed person so that his distress may be removed? At that time, no Muslim makes a Dua but that it is answered, except for an adulteress who trades with her body, or a person who gathers his money unlawfully. [Sahih al-Jami’ 2968]
At the time of Azan and between it and the Iqamah:
The Messenger (Peace and Blessings Be upon Him) said: A Dua between Azan and the Iqamat is not refused, so make dua at that time. [Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban]
The Messenger (Peace and Blessing Be upon Him) said: Two kinds of dua are not rejected or rarely are they rejected dua at the time of the call for prayer, and dua at the time of fighting when the warriors are engaged with each other. [Abu Dawud]
Your Parents Are Your Paradise And They Are Your Hell
DUTIES TOWARDS PARENTS
The Holy Quran and Sunnah have laid great emphasis on meting out the treatment to the parents. Serving the parents well has been declared a highly virtuous act and a great asset in this world as well Hereafter, Our parents deserve our greatest regard obedience, and service after Allah and His Messenger.
Almighty Allah has decreed:
Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Allah and that you be kind to parents.
The spiritual and moral duties are not brought into juxtaposition. We are to worship none but Allah because none but Allah is worthy of worship. Here we are asked to show kindness to our father and mother. It means parental love should be to us a type of divine love, Our spiritual advancement is tested by this. We cannot expect Allah’s forgiveness if we are rude or unkind to those who unselfishly brought us up.
Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Masud (Allah be pleased with him) states:
I submitted to the Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as to which act Allah likes best.
The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
The prayer offered in time.
Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Masud (Allah be pleased with him) submitted:
What it that Allah likes next best
The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
Good treatment of your mother and father.
Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Masud (Allah be pleased with him) again submitted:
The Messenger of Allah ( peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Significance Of Nikah
Alqama reported: While I was walking with Abdullah (Radi Allah Anhu) at Mina, Uthman (Radi Allah Anhu) happened to meet him. He stopped there and began to talk with him. Uthman (Radi Allah Anhu) said to him: Abu Abd al-Rahman (Radi Allah Anhu), should we not marry you to a young girl who may recall to you some of the past of your bygone days; thereupon he said: If you say so, Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said: O young men, those among you who can support a wife should marry, for it restrains eyes from casting (evil glances). and preserves one from immorality, but those who cannot devote themselves to fasting for it is a means of controlling sexual desire.
[Sahih Muslim: Volume 8, Book ‘Kitab Al-Nikah’, Number 3231]
Abdullah (b. Masud) (Radi Allah Anhu) reported that Allah’s Messenger (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said to us: O young men, those among you who can support a wife should marry, for it restrains eyes (from casting evil glances) and preserves one from immorality; but he who cannot afford It should observe fast for it is a means of controlling the sexual desire.

Stealing In Prayer
One of the worst forms of theft or cheating is cheating in prayer.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The worst type of thief is the one who steals from his prayer.
The people asked, O Messenger of Allah, how can a person steal from his prayer?
He said: By not doing rukoo and sujood properly.
(Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 5/310; see also Saheeh al-Jaami, 997).
This lack of composure and failure to pause in rukoo and sujood and to stand up straight after rukoo or sit up properly between sujoods may be observed in many of those who pray, and hardly any mosque is free of examples of people who do not have the proper composure in prayer. Correct composure is one of the pillars of prayer, without which prayer is invalid.
This is a serious matter.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: A man’s prayer is not good enough until his back is straight in rukoo and sujood.
(Reported by Abu Dawud, 1/533; see also Saheeh al-Jaamia 7224).

A Best Comprehensive Supplication
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu alaihi wasallam) made many supplications that we did not memorize. We said to him:
O Messenger of Allah! (sallAllaahu alaihi wasallam) You have made many supplications of which we do not remember anything.
The Messenger of Allah (sallAllaahu alaihi wasallam) said, Should I not show you such a comprehensive dua that includes all duas? Say,
(O Allah, I beg to You the good which Your Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu alaihi wasallam) begged of You;
and I seek refuge in You from the evil where Your Prophet Muhammad (sallAllaahu alaihi wasallam) sought refuge.
You are the One from Whom help is sought and Your is the responsibility to communicate (the truth). There is no power or strength except with Allah the Exalted, the Great.
[At-Tirmidhi]
Commentary:
For those who do not remember many prayers, or cannot remember them, this is the best supplication to make. This shows part of Allah’s Mercy upon his slaves and part of the easiness of practicing Islam.
