The Many Doors Of Sadaqah

Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Sadaqah (charity) is prescribed for every person every day the sun rises.”

Abu Dhar asked: “O Messenger of Allah, from what do we give Sadaqah if we do not possess property?” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The doors of Sadaqah are

  • Takbir (Allahu Akbar);
  • Subhan Allah; Alhamdulillah;
  • La-ilaha-ilAllah; Astaghfirullah;
  • Enjoining good; forbidding evil;
  • Removing thorns, bones, and stones from the paths of people;
  • Guiding the blind;
  • Listening to the deaf and dumb until you understand them;
  • Guiding a person to his object of need if you know where it is;
  • Hurrying with the strength of your legs to one in sorrow who is appealing for help; and
  • Supporting the weak with the strength of your arms.

These are all the doors of Sadaqah.” (Ahmad)

The Best of Muslim

“The best of the Muslims is he from whose hand and tongue the Muslims are safe.” (Muslim)

“The best of people are those with the most excellent character.” (Tabarani, Sahîh)

“The best of marriages are the easiest ones.” (Abu Dâwûd, Sahîh)

“The best of you are those who feed others and return greetings.” (Abu Ya’la, Hasan)

“The best of that which you treat yourself with is cupping.” (Hakim, Sahîh)

“The best days that you should perform cupping are the 17th, 19th, and 21st of the month. I did not pass a single gathering of angels on the night of Isra’ except that they would say to me, ‘O Muhammad, perform cupping!’” (Ahmad, Sahîh)

“The most beloved of deeds according to Allah are the continuous ones, even if they are little.”(Agreed upon)

“The most beloved words according to Allah the Highest are four: Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, La ilahaillallah and Allahu Akbar; there is no problem with which one you start with.” (Muslim)

“The best of provision is that which suffices.” (Ahmad in ‘Zuhd’, Hasan)

“The best of dowries are the easiest.” (Hakim, Sahîh)

“The most beloved word according to me is that which is most truthful.” (Bukhari)

“The best of dinars are the dinar spent by a man upon his dependents, the dinar spent by a man upon his horse in the path of Allah, and the dinar spent by a man upon his companions in the path of Allah, the Mighty, the Magnificent.”(Muslim)

“The best word of remembrance is: La ilaha illallah and the best supplication is:Alhamdulillah.” (Tirmidhî, Hasan)

“The best of all charity is that which is given to the relative that harbours enmity against you.”(Ahmad, Sahîh)

“The best prayer is that with the longest standing.” (Muslim)

“The best of all worship is supplication(dua).” (Hakim, Sahîh)

“The best deed is the prayer in its right time and Jihad in the path of Allah.” (Bayhaqi, Sahîh)

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: “Which of the believers is the most intelligent?” He (ﷺ) replied, “Those who remember death the most and are best prepared for what comes after it. Those are the intelligent ones.” (Reported by Tabraani, Ibn Majah, classed as Hasan)

Blessed Is The Wealth Of A Muslim From Which He Gives To The Poor

[ALLAH’S Quran – 2:215] “They ask you as to what they should spend. Say: Whatever wealth you spend, it is for the parents and the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, and whatever good you do, Allah surely knows it.

The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has said:
[Bukhari, Book #24, Hadith #544] “Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Once the Prophet sat on a pulpit and we sat around him. Then he said, “The things I am afraid of most for your sake (concerning what will befall you after me) are the pleasures and splendors of the world and its beauties which will be disclosed to you.” Somebody said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Can the good bring forth evil?” The Prophet remained silent for a while. It was said to that person, “What is wrong with you? You are talking to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) while he is not talking to you.” Then we noticed that he was being inspired divinely. Then the Prophet wiped off his sweat and said, “Where is the questioner?” It seemed as if the Prophet liked his question. Then he said, “Good never brings forth evil. Indeed it is like what grows on the banks of a water stream which either kill or make the animals sick, except if an animal eats its fill the Khadira (a kind of vegetable) and then faces the sun, and then defecates and urinates and grazes again. No doubt this wealth is sweet and green. blessed is the wealth of a Muslim from which he gives to the poor, orphans, and to needy travelers. (Or the Prophet said something similar to it) No doubt, whoever takes it illegally will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied, and his wealth will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection.”
