Fascinating Description Of Jannah
‘Some faces that Day will be Shining and Radiant, looking at their Lord.’ ( Source: “Quran” Surat~Al-Qiyaamah:75 A# 22-23)
And if you ask about its ground and its soil, then it is of musk and saffron.
And if you ask about its roof, then it is the Throne of the Most Merciful.
And if you ask about its rocks, then they are pearls and jewels.
And if you ask about its buildings, then they are made of bricks of gold and silver.
And if you ask about its trees, then it does not contain a single tree except that its trunk is made of gold and silver.
And if you ask about its fruits, then they are softer than butter and sweeter than honey.
And if you ask about its leaves, then they are softer than the softest cloth.
And if you ask about its rivers, then there are rivers of milk whose taste does not change, and rivers of wine that is delicious to those who drink it, and rivers of honey that is pure, and rivers of water that is fresh.
And if you ask about their food, then it is fruits from whatever they will choose, and the meat of whatever birds they desire.
And if you ask about their drink, then it is Tasneem, Ginger, and Kaafoor.
And if you ask about their drinking cups, then they are crystal-clear and made of gold and silver.
And if you ask about its shade, then a fast rider would ride in the shade of one of its trees for a hundred [100] years and not escape it.
And if you ask about its vastness, then the lowest of its people would have within his kingdom and walls and palaces and gardens the distance that would be traveled in a thousand [1000] years.
And if you ask about its tents and encampments, then one tent is like a concealed pearl that is sixty[60] miles long.
And if you ask about its towers, then they are rooms above rooms in buildings that have rivers running underneath them.
And if you ask about how far it reaches into the sky, then look at the shining stars that are visible, as well as
those that are far in the heavens that the eyesight cannot possibly reach.
And if you ask about the clothing of its inhabitants, then they are of silk and gold.
And if you ask about its beds, then its blankets are of the finest silk laid out in the highest of its levels.
And if you ask about the faces of its inhabitants and their beauty, then they are like the image of the Moon.
And if you ask about their age, then they are young ones of thirty-three [33] years in the image of Adam (AS) [ the father of humanity.]
And if you ask about what they will be hearing, then it is the singing of their wives from among the Hoor al-‘Ayn, and better than that are the voices of the Angels and the Prophets, and better than that is… the Speech of the Lord of the Worlds…{‘Alhamdullilah’}
And if you ask about their servants, then they are young boys of everlasting youth who resemble scattered pearls.
And if you ask about their brides and wives, then they are young and full-breasted and have had the liquid of youth flow through their limbs; The sun runs along the beauty of her face if she shows it, light shines from between her teeth if she smiles; if you meet her love, then say whatever you want regarding the joining of two lights; he sees his face in the roundness of her cheek as if he is looking into a polished mirror, and he sees the brightness from behind her muscles and bones;
if she were to be unleashed upon the World, she would fill what is between the Heavens and the Earth with a beautiful wind, and the mouths of the creation would glorify, praise, and exclaim greatness, and everything between the East and the West would be adorned for her, and every eye would be shut from everything but her and the light of the Sun would be outshone just as the light of the Sun outshines the light of the stars, and everyone on the face of the Earth would believe in the Ever-Living, the One who Sustains and Protects all the exists.
And the covering on her head is better than the World and all that is in it, and she does not increase with age except in beauty… free from an umbilical cord, childbirth and menses, and pure of mucous, saliva, urine and other filthy things; her youth never fades, her clothing is never worn out, no garment can be created that matches her beauty, and no one who is with her can ever become bored; her attention is restricted to her husband, so she desires none but him, just as his attention is restricted to her so she is the sole object of his desire, and he is with her in utmost safety and security, as none has touched her before of either humans or Jinn.
And if you ask about the Day of Increase (in reward) and the visit of the all-Mighty, all-Wise, and the sight of His Face – free from any resemblance or likeness to anything – as you see the Sun in the middle of the day and the full Moon on a cloudless night, then listen on the day that the caller will call: ‘O People of Paradise! Your Lord –
Blessed and Exalted – requests you to visit Him, so come to visit Him!’ So they will say: ‘We hear and obey!’
Until, when they finally reach the wide valley where they will all meet – and none of them will turn down the request of the caller – the Lord – Blessed and Exalted – will order His Chair to be brought there.
Then, pulpits of light will emerge, as well as pulpits of pearls, gemstones, gold, and silver. The lowest of them in rank will sit on sheets of musk, and will not see what those who are on the chairs above them are given. When they are comfortable where they are sitting and are secure in their places, and the caller calls: ‘O People of Paradise! You have an appointment with Allah in which He wishes to reward you!’
So they will say: ‘And what is that reward? Has HE not already made our faces bright, made our scales heavy, entered us into Paradise, and pushed us away from the Fire?’
And when they are like that, all of a sudden a light shines that encompasses all of Paradise. So, they raise their heads, and, behold: the Compeller – Exalted is He, and Holy are His Names – has come to them from above them and majestified and said: ‘O People of Paradise! Peace be upon you!’
So, this greeting will not be responded to with anything better than: ‘O Allah! You are Peace, and from You is Peace! Blessed are You, O possessor of Majesty and Honour!’
So the Lord – Blessed and Exalted will laugh to them and say: ‘O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!’
So, they will all give the same response: ‘We are pleased, so be pleased with us!’
So, He will say: ‘O People of Paradise! If I were not pleased with you, I would not have made you inhabitants of My Paradise!
So, ask of Me!’
So, they will all give the same response: ‘Show us your Face so that we may look at it!’
So, the Lord – Mighty and Majestic – will remove his covering and will majestify them and will cover them with His Light, which, if Allah – the Exalted had not Willed not to burn them, would have burned them.
And there will not remain a single person in this gathering except that his Lord [ the Exalted ] will speak to him and say: ‘Do you remember the day that you did this and that?’ and He will remind him of some of his bad deeds in the Worldy life, so he will say: ‘O Lord! Will you not forgive me?’
So… He will say: ‘Of course! You have not reached this position of yours (in Paradise) except by my forgiveness.’
So, how sweet is this speech to the ears, and how cooled are the righteous eyes by the glance at His Noble Face in the Afterlife…
{‘ALHAMDULLILAH’!} {…with incessant tears…!}

Example Of Guidance And Knowledge
[2. Surah Al-Baqarah: Ayah 195] “And spend in the way of Allah and cast not yourselves to perdition with your own hands, and do good (to others); surely Allah loves the doers of good.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 3, Number 79] Narrated Abu Musa (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, “The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain-water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilize it for drinking, (making their animals drink from it) and to irrigate the land for cultivation.
(And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah’s Religion (Islam) and gets benefits (from the knowledge) that Allah has revealed through me and learns them and teaches them to others. The (last example is that of a) person who does not care for it and doesn’t take Allah’s Guidance revealed to me”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 61, Number 544] Narrated by Hazrat Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, “Not to wish to be the like of (or there is no envy) except in two:
- A person whom Allah has taught the Quran and he recites it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day, and his neighbor listens to him and says, ‘I wish I had been given what has been given to so-and-so so that I might do what he does;
-
Secondly, a person to whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it on what is just and right, whereupon another person may say, ‘I wish I had been given what so-and-so has been given, for then I would do what he does.’
[Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 61, Number 545] Narrated by Hazrat Usman (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, “The best among you are those who learn and teach the Quran.”
[Sahih Al-Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 61, Number 546] Narrated by Hazrat Usman bin Affan (Radi Allah Anhu): The Prophet Muhammad (sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said, “The most superior among you (Muslims) are those who learn Quran and teach it to others.”

Allah Strengthens In Guidance Those Who Seek
[Allah’s Quran – 19:76] “God strengthens in guidance those who have sought and found guidance. The righteous, good deeds of lasting merit are best in your Lord’s sight for reward, and best for returns.”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) has said : [Anas bin Malik, Al-Hadis, 1:351] “Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as reported by Anas bin Malik, “He that follows the path of knowledge shall find Allah easing the path to Paradise for him.”
[Muslim, Book #035, Hadith #6518] “Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of the world, Allah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, and he who finds relief for one who is hard pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter, and he who conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah would conceal his faults in the world and the Hereafter. Allah is at the back of a servant so long as the servant is at the back of his brother, and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah would make that path easy, leading to paradise for him and those persons who assemble in the house among the houses of Allah (mosques) and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Qur’an (among themselves) there would descend upon them the tranquillity and mercy would cover them and the angels would surround them and Allah makes a mention of them in the presence of those near Him, and he who is slow-paced in doing good deeds, his (high) descent does not make him go ahead.”

Backbiting And Slander
And why did you not, when you heard it, say? “It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to God, this is a most serious slander” (Quran 24:16)
Islam is a religion of peace, love, and compassion. Lies, suspicion, back-biting, slander, and gossip are totally alien to Islam. In fact, they are considered among the most destructive of major sins. This is so because these sins sow enmity and discord among the Muslim Ummah and lead to its destruction. They cause hostilities between people of the same household, and between neighbors, friends, and relatives.
Islam demands that our relationship with mankind should be one of sincerity and responsibility. It should be one where we have respect for the honor, reputation, and privacy of others. Islam teaches us that we are not only held accountable for our attitudes and actions but also for anything else over which we have control or influence, in our society or the world around us.
Verses: Let’s see what the Quran states about backbiting and slander – ‘This is the Book, in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah’. (2:2)
Allah has forbidden the believers from backbiting
O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, in deeds some suspicions are sins. And spy not neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah, verily, Allah is the one who accepts repentance, Most Merciful. (49: 12)
When we reflect deeply on this assimilation it should be enough to keep us away from backbiting! Do not treat the issue of Backbiting & Slander with indifference because it is a great sin
Behold, you received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things which you had no knowledge; and you thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah (24: 15)
Many of us backbite and gossip without thinking. We think it is a minor matter, however, Allah reminds us to be careful and even though we think we are doing something little it is in fact huge in the sight of Allah!
Allah teaches us to speak out against Slander and try to put a stop to it
And why did you not, when you heard it, say? “It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah, this is a most serious slander” (24:16)
Many people are so busy spreading the slander they hear that they do not even stop thinking if it is true. Shaitan (Satan) wants us to use our tongues to create conflict and hatred.
Say to My servants that they should only say those things that are best, for Satan does sow dissensions among them, for Satan is to man an avowed enemy. (17:53)
Are we falling into Shaitan’s (Satan’s) trap? We can all analyze ourselves.
Hadiths: Let’s see what Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said about Backbiting in the hadiths.
Allah states in the Quran – You have indeed in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern of conduct. (33:21)
The Definition Of Backbiting And Slander
Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He then said, “It is to say something about your brother that he would dislike.” Someone asked him, “But what if what I say is true?” The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, “If what you say about him is true, you are backbiting him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him.” (Muslim)
We should guard our tongue from sins and use our limbs in acts of obedience
Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Who protects his tongue from unlawful utterances and his private parts from illegal sexual intercourse, I shall guarantee him entrance into Paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
The Definition Of The Best Muslim
“I asked the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him): Who is the best Muslim? The Messenger of Allah(Peace Be Upon Him) replied, “He is the one from whom Muslims are safe from the evil of his tongue and hands.” (Muslim)
Deriding people in their presence by making negative facial expressions or by hand gestures while they are unaware is also a form of backbiting. We need to beware of the slipping of our tongues
“When man wakes up in the morning each day, all parts of the body warn the tongue saying, ‘Fear Allah as regards us for we are at your mercy; if you are upright, we will be upright and if you are crooked, we become crooked.’” (At-Tirmidhee)
Summary
Backbiting and slander are so widespread that it has become the topic of people’s meetings and an avenue for expressing their anger, misgivings, and jealousy. Those who indulge in backbiting are oblivious to the fact that they are only harming themselves. This is because of the fact that on the Day of Resurrection, both the wrongdoer and the wronged will stand before Allah, Who is the Just Judge, Allah will then give this wronged person from the good deeds of the person who wronged him by his wrong by backbiting.
Some situations allow us to inform others of what someone has done. It is allowed for us to inform the authorities when someone does injustice to us or others. It is allowed for us to inform someone who can help a perpetrator from committing further vice. It is also permissible for us to tell whoever seeks our advice on a person for business dealings or marriage. In this case, it is not allowed for us to hide what we know about the person so that the enquirer will not be deceived. All these types of speaking about others are lawful.
Islam teaches us that if people are being ridiculed or backbited in our presence, we should defend their honor. If we neglect this, we shall deprive ourselves of ever-needed help and mercy from Allah – If a man’s Muslim brother is slandered in his presence, and he is capable of defending him and does so, Allah will defend him in this world and the next. But if he fails to defend him, Allah will destroy him in this world and the next. (Baghawi). What will we do the next time we are tempted to backbite or hear slander in our presence? Right now the choice is ours!
We ask Allah the Most High, the All Powerful, to teach us that which will benefit us, and to benefit us by that which we learn. May Allah grant blessings and peace to our Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and his family and companions.

Achieving High Aims
Achieving high aims depends upon having a firm intention and a strong will. Whoever loses them will never attain one’s goals, because when one’s intention is firm, it adheres to the plan, and if one’s will is strong, the servant will walk along the right way that leads to that aim. Having a strong will opens the way and a resolute intention focuses one on the aim. If one’s aim coincides with the way that one reaches it, one will be successful.
If one’s intention is weak, one will not have a high aim. If one’s will is not strong, it will (also) not lead one to the aim. The whole matter depends upon the will and the intention of the servant, and they will never be achieved without the following:
First: Neglecting innovations that people make.
Second: Abandoning worldly benefits and vain pleasures, which hinder one from one’s way and aim.
Third: Purification of one’s heart from any vain desires that will distract one’s intention. – Al-Fawa’id
